Description
A very different character portrait. The client asked for his character to be in motion caught in a crouching stance. So yes he is off balance he is jumping from rock formation to rock formation.I watched Crouching Tiger for inspiration for I had a feeling that the client wanted the sureal look that was used when they walked on bamboo and such.
Was wonderful to do an oriental character. I have wanted to do one for so long.
Lots of research was involved. Finding out how to hold a butterfly knife for instance. The client asked for one knife to be held backwards too (yikes). I hope that the leggings and arm wrapings in black are not solid black on many monitors. They are not solid black on mine. But I know settings are all different.
The client is pleased.

Kallen, like this. I just saw "House of Flying Daggers" a few days ago and I'm in this Chinese cinematography funk and - !SPLADAM! - here this is!
So in that vein, I'd like to see this guy's tunic more flowing and graceful - MHO.
Like the complimentary color scheme that makes him stand out. Nice work, Mouse Girl!
